Roxas President’s Inn

Roxas President’s Inn

I spent two nights in Roxas City, the seafood capital of the Philippines, and my stay here was made more pleasant when I chose to stay at Roxas President’s Inn.

Its main draw is its location. The hotel is just a few minutes walk from some of the city’s cultural sights and important edifices like the Roxas City Hall, Roxas City Fountain and the Panubli-on Museum and Capiz Provincial Capitol. It is also just a ten minute ride from People’s Park where you can gorge on freshly caught seafood.

It was a long journey to Roxas City since I came from
Manila via Kalibo
. I was already eager to see my room and drop my heavy bags, rest for a bit and start roaming around. Upon checking-in, Ms. Edna, the hotel manager, welcomed me like we have already known each other for quite some time while the rest of the hotel staff helped me in carrying my belongings into my room. It was a hot afternoon but sleep was not in the option as I was getting hungry by the minute. I did not have a hard time asking where I could eat because they gave me great suggestions and even offered to contact the place so I could be assisted promptly.

Roxas President’s Inn instantly felt like home. Actually for me, it looked more like a mansion with many rooms and warmly decorated interiors. It is modern yet classic with just the right touch of Filipino elegance.

The hotel is a bit dated but I think it just adds to the hotel’s character. The hotel rooms are a telling of Philippine political history as these are named after Philippine presidents. I was assigned to stay in Duterte Suite which is located in a quiet nook on the third floor.

I really didn’t mind being given a twin room. It was more than enough for me. The highlight of my stay was having slept without interruption for two straight nights. The beddings were soft and kept me warm at night.

I also did not have a problem when I got hungry in the middle of the night as the mini-ref was fully stocked with different snacks and drinks. It was perfect for a late night movie marathon for a cinema buff like me.

Roxas President’s Inn is a good choice of lodging when visiting Roxas City. The hotel is accessible, affordable and with 18 years of being in the business, you will be assured of having a more than a satisfying stay.
