Sulyap Bed & Breakfast

Sulyap Bed & Breakfast

My love for the archaic, ancient, centenarian and venerable old houses lead me to the post-card perfect Sulyap Bed & Breakfast located in Brgy. Del Remedio, San Pablo City, LagunaThere are two old houses in the compound which both came from different parts of the country. The first one is the hotel’s restaurant while the other one composes of five rooms: two upper floor rooms and three ground floor rooms.n Erected inside the Cocoland compound not far from Cosico Ave, one would feel she has been transported back in time. A stay here overnight or dining in their restaurant would entitle guests to a free tour inside the hotel’s museum. For walk-in guests, fee is at P 100 per person which is open from 11 AM – 8 PM.

Paying Php 1800 per night with complimentary heavy breakfast is a bit expensive for a solo traveler. However, the ambience and the experience more than made up for it. Once ensconced in this serene sanctuary not far from the metro, I am sure you will feel fully rejuvenated and will be ready again to hit the city.

Below are some of the interior shots of one of the ground floor rooms.

How to go to Sulyap Bed & Breakfast

From Manila or Cubao, take any bus bound for Quezon Province or to Bicol Region. Tell the bus driver or conductor to drop you off at the junction facing San Pablo City Medical Center. Once alighted, cross the street towards Colago Avenue and wait for the jeepneys bound for downtown San Pablo (P 8). Once arrived at Puregold San Pablo (located at the left side), cross the street towards Cosico Avenue and wait again for jeepneys bound for Calamba etc (P 8). You can also hire a trike from there. Kindly ask the driver to drop you off at the street to Cocoland Compound, Brgy. Del Remedio or just simply tell the driver you need to get off at Cocoland. There is a waiting shed at the corner of the street leading to the gates of the hotel. Trike is also optional. Fare may be at P 30.00 per ride.

This house originally hails from Obando, Bulacan.
Hence the name Casa de Obando
