Exploring Panay Island with Air Asia

Exploring Panay Island with Air Asia

My recent trip to the island of Panay lasted five days. It was a short five days but our time was made even more valuable when we flew with Air Asia from Clark to Iloilo. It was a good alternative flying out of Clark as Manila has become so packed that delay of flights can always be expected. But being just two hours away from the city, Clark turned out to be a great option for us as we didn’t experience any delay in our check-in and boarding process. Our bags were all carefully tagged and not one got lost.

Now everyone can fly to Iloilo from Clark via @airasiafilipino! #AirAsiaInClark #AirAsiaInIloilo #DOT6 #ExperienceWesternVisayasFirst #themermaidtravels

It was my third time to land in Iloilo and my second time to fly with Air Asia in a span of a few months. The hospitality and warmth remained the same during both times. My friends and I wanted to sit together. We asked the ground staff if we can do so but since the flight was full, we were told nicely that the only available seats were not beside each other.

Just after check-in! Going back to Iloilo in a bit. Thanks to @airasia. Will explore Panay Island once more. Airasia flies to Iloilo from Clark 3x weekly! #AirAsiaInClark #AirAsiaInIloilo #DOT6 #ExperienceWesternVisayasFirst #TheMermaidTravels

We also had the privilege of being picked up by Air Asia’s shuttle to and from Manila. Our van was on time on both occasions and the drivers were always nice enough to heed to our requests (e.g. dropping us off along different parts of EDSA). As they say, first impressions last. Overall, we had a nice boarding experience with Air Asia which I guess we brought all along the duration of our trip to the island. 🙂

Travelers now have more options as Air Asia flies 3x weekly from Clark to Iloilo every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. But of course, Manila flights are more frequent at 3x daily if you don’t want to hurdle the additional two-hour land travel to Pampanga.
